Acceptable Use Policy

What may not be sold or done through Kasa. Short, so that it can actually be checked before you do something.

Version v1.0 · In force from 25 July 2026

1.Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who uses Kasa: the account owner, any staff they invite, and anything sent from a shop by the assistant. It is part of our Terms of Service.

The rule behind all of it is simple. Kasa exists so that honest traders can serve their customers well. Anything that turns it into a tool for harming a buyer, another seller or the platform is not allowed.

2.What you may not sell

Do not use Kasa to offer, negotiate or take orders for:

  • anything whose sale is a crime in Ghana, including narcotic drugs and controlled substances,
  • firearms, ammunition, explosives and offensive weapons,
  • protected wildlife and products made from it, including ivory,
  • human organs, tissue or blood,
  • counterfeit or pirated goods, and anything you know or suspect to be stolen,
  • prescription medicines, medical devices and treatments you are not licensed to sell, and any product claiming to cure a disease without approval,
  • unregistered financial products, investment schemes, lotteries and betting where you hold no licence,
  • identity documents, government documents, and account credentials of any kind,
  • sexual services and pornographic material,
  • alcohol, tobacco, nicotine products or any age restricted item where you cannot verify the buyer’s age and hold the required permit, and
  • anything else you need a licence or permit for and do not have.

3.How you may not behave

  • Deceiving buyers. Advertising an item you do not have, describing it falsely, showing a photograph of something else, or quoting a price you do not intend to honour.
  • Taking money for goods you do not intend to supply. Fraud is a crime and we report it.
  • Using Kasa to launder money or to move the proceeds of crime, contrary to the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2020 (Act 1044).
  • Giving a mobile money number that is not yours or that you are not entitled to collect payment on.
  • Pretending to be another business, another person, a bank, a network operator or Kasa itself.
  • Harassing, threatening, insulting or discriminating against a buyer, or anyone else.
  • Collecting personal data from buyers for a purpose you have not told them about, or passing it to someone else without a lawful reason.
  • Sharing your account with another business, or reselling access to Kasa as if it were your own service.

4.Messaging rules

The channels Kasa sends on have their own rules, and breaking them costs you your number long before it costs you anything else.

  • Message people who contacted you, or who agreed to hear from you. Do not send unsolicited bulk messages.
  • Do not buy, scrape or otherwise obtain lists of numbers and load them into your shop.
  • Honour a request to stop. If someone asks not to be contacted again, that is the end of it.
  • Follow the WhatsApp Business messaging policy and the equivalent rules of any other channel you connect.
  • Follow Ghanaian law on electronic communications, including the Electronic Communications Act, 2008 (Act 775).

Buyers who block or report a shop lower the quality rating Meta gives its number. A number rated low can be limited or stopped by Meta, and no amount of support from us can lift that. Protecting your number is the same work as treating your buyers properly.

5.The platform itself

  • Do not try to reach data that belongs to another shop, or any part of the service you have not been given access to.
  • Do not probe, scan or test the security of Kasa without our written permission. Where you have permission, the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038) still applies to what you do.
  • Do not work around rate limits, allowances, spend caps or any other control, and do not run automated tools against the service beyond normal use of it.
  • Do not take the software apart, copy it, or build a competing service from it.
  • Do not introduce malware, or use Kasa to distribute it.
  • Do not use the assistant to generate content that is unlawful, deceptive or abusive, and do not attempt to make it ignore the limits your shop has set.

6.What happens if this is broken

What we do depends on what happened. A first misunderstanding usually gets a message from us asking you to fix it. Repeated or deliberate breaches, and anything unlawful, move faster.

  • We may pause the assistant, put your shop on hold, or close the account.
  • We may remove content that breaks this policy.
  • Where the law requires it, we report the matter to the authorities and preserve the records that relate to it.
  • Where a channel provider requires action, we act as they require.

Where the situation allows it we tell you what happened and what would put it right. If you think we got it wrong, write to support@kasarm.com and a person will look at it again.

7.Reporting something

If you have been sold something dishonestly by a shop using Kasa, tell us at support@kasarm.com with the shop name, the number you messaged and what happened. We cannot settle a dispute between you and a shop, because the sale is theirs and not ours, but we do act on a shop that is breaking these rules.

If you have found a security problem in Kasa, please report it to support@kasarm.com before telling anyone else, and give us a fair chance to fix it. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue responsibly and does not access or change data that is not theirs.
